When both sides have stopped moving
Most insurance disputes are not about liability in the abstract; they are about valuation. Each side has a number, each believes it is defensible, and correspondence has stopped changing anyone's mind. A neutral who will say plainly where each position is weak is often the only thing that restarts the negotiation.
Matters handled
Denied and underpaid first-party claims; coverage and policy-interpretation disputes; medical and air-ambulance billing conflicts; subrogation between carriers; regulatory enforcement against agents and adjusters; and general civil damage claims between businesses or individuals.
Evaluative mediation
Where the parties ask for it, I will give a candid assessment of the likely outcome at hearing. That assessment is not binding, but in valuation disputes it frequently converts two fixed numbers into a settled range within a single session.
